Can anyone pick a potential winner besides Australia? I would like to think that England have a reasonable chance!!

England have actually played six 20Twenty Internationals, which is probably more than anyone else at the moment, and domestically they play more 20Twenty than anyone else, so in theory, the players should know what they're doing. In practice, 2oTwenty games can swing so easily with one bad / good over that really it's a bit of a lottery. The problem is, just about every major team in the tournament (and by that I mean everyone except the associate nations, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh) is at the very worst / least a 'dark horse' and at best, Australia.
In other words, your guess is as good as mine! |

Shahid Afridi is warming up nicely for the 20Twenty World Championship - he scored 57 not out in 15 balls in Nairobi today - but then again Pakistan were playing Uganda!
Still, I think someone needs to explain to the Ugandan opener that 14 in 30 balls in a 20Twenty match just isn't a fast enough scoring rate... |

South Africa have some, shall we say, 'odd' selection policies. For instance, They didn't pick Andrew Hall for the 20Twenty World Championship, which is slightly baffling as he is one of their better one-day players and as well as this has played plenty of 20Twenty cricket-31 matches apparently. And now, supposedly as a result of his non-selection, he's gone and thrown his hat in with the alleged Indian Cricket League, walking out on his central contract with the South African board. I can kind of understand them leaving out Kallis - his style is not as suited to 20Twenty cricket, but to leave out Hall was a strange decision.
There's quite a lot of hacked off South Africans out there at the moment who are turning their back on their own country and becoming 'Kolpak' players in England (Garnet Kruger, a fast bowler who has played ODIs for South Africa is the latest example) or as with Hall, eyeing up the Indian Cricket League. And then there was Kevin Pietersen....

I hope he does, he's got something about him in 20Twenty. |

| Watched him score very rapidly in a Pro40 game the other night. Just hope he isn't over-awed by the occasion. |
